For this project I researched the thoughts of people about the ideal society, so-called utopia. The citizens of one district in Vilnius (Lithuania) have built their own republic (Užupio Respublika) with all the required elements; a constitution, Independence Day, a president, ministers, a national anthem etc.
I was searching for the borders of this utopia. I made it visible by making real border signs, with the thoughts people shared about their utopia. In 2010 these border signs were brought to Lithuania where each sign got its own place in Užupio Respublika.
